Our Beginning

Everlong Boxers was a dream of our son Justin. Justin fell in love with the Boxer breed and bugged us until we decided to purchase our first Boxer. Having no prior knowledge of the breed we purchased a Boxer that was not suitable to be shown. Rocky our first Boxer hooked our family on the breed. Rocky just turned 10 years old and is loved by all that meet him.

Justin’s quest for a show dog continued.

We purchased Glencotta’s Vitar a return back to breeder. In purchasing Vitar we met Tom & Lillian Wainright. Tom took Justin under his wing like a Grandson and gave him pointers in showing dogs while Lillian gave Justin grooming lessons. Vitar had the most amazing personality that you could ever imagine in a Boxer. Although not a confident dog, Vitar was shown and gained points. It became apparent that Vitar did not like the show arena and was retired without gaining his championship. During Justin’s quest for a show dog he was very fortunate that the Wainwright’s allowed Justin to show some of their dogs. Justin pointed and finished many dogs along the way.

With still no dog of his own to show, the quest for a show dog was on. Justin and I had become members of Boxer Club of Canada. Stan and Eve Whitmore knew that we were looking for a show dog or bitch and offered to co-own Haviland’s Night Magic with us (Maggie). Maggie was shown and bred twice both to dogs owned by Stan & Eve Whitmore. From the litter we kept Can Ch. Everlong’s Night Mystery, Everlong’s Night Mischief and Everlong’s Aviator (currently pointed from puppy class) and being shown. It was from Maggie that Everlong Boxer’s was formed. We are very thankful to Stan & Eve Whitmore for entrusting us with such a lovely Bitch and allowing us to start our future in breeding with their line.

We have been Mentored by many members of the Boxer Club of Canada in providing information, guidance and teaching of the breed standard. A special thank you to Jaegerhouse Boxers, Donessle Boxers and Scher-Khoun Boxers for all their assistance along the way. We will always remember the late Tom Wainwright for his help and advice.

Justin continues his love of the breed and shows when his school schedule permits. As a family we share in the day-to-day care of our beloved Boxers.

'We breed for quality not quantity.'
